Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! Mine was a blast. In the morning, we got to all hang out as a zone and cook breakfast together. We made…. wait for it… banana pancakes with all sorts of fun and crazy toppings.

It was really relaxing and nice. After that, we got to skype with you guys and it was the best Christmas present I could have asked for. When we were done skyping, we decided to meet up with some more Hermanas and we went to Larco Mar again and enjoyed the beautiful view of the coast, this time at night. We splurged and ate at Chili’s as a Christmas treat. A little piece of America :’ )

This week has been maybe one of the craziest yet. And by crazy, I mean literally crazy, not just busy. We have happened to run into many mentally ill people here in the last 7 days. I have more stories than I have time to write. Man. But it’s been kind of hard. It’s so sad to see people who struggle with those kind of trials. Yesterday we were teaching this woman with Schizophrenia (don’t know if that’s right…) and she was just loving the lesson, so excited to have her baptismal interview and then all of the sudden she just snapped and got angry. She kept saying ”Estoy desconfiada…” and would point at Hermana Bennett. She started saying ”I don’t know… I don’t want to hear from them anymore. They don’t speak good Spanish,” or other random excuses like that (OUCH, talk about a knife in the heart). We don’t know what happened. So we had to leave before she got worked up and the ward member stayed behind to help calm her down. :(  We were sad.

What a crazy but fun week! We had Christmas in the midst of all of this wildness. And tomorrow is cambios! (Transfer Day) The next time I write you guys, it will probably be from another part of Lima. I’m quite sure that I’m going to have a transfer this time around. I’m going to miss Jesus Maria so much. Even though our mission is only 32 square miles, I know it will feel like a million miles away because I won’t be able to come back and visit anyone until the end of my mission.

Anyway, I don’t really have any more time but I really hope that you all have a wonderful New Year! You guys are all the best!

¡Que tengan un año nuevo muy feliz!

Con mucho amor,
Hermana Hannah Hollberg
